Career Continuum

Early Years:

At 14 years old, I built my first computer from recycled industrial components found at recyclinf site of CSG - The Steel Factory. ( Not from subansambles and modules, but from individual components, like SN74xx and specialised ICs using a Z80 CPU and other components on a PCB that was hardly availble at that time, CoBra name come from Computer Brasov)

Operating Systems:

  • Legacy: CP/M, OS/2, AIX, BeOS, Solaris, all Microsoft OS versions ( thes i had used in the time of my carrier)
  • Current: Linux (since BBS era) with more than 30 yers hands-on experience across distributions and flavors, from servers to embeded and IoT
  • No curent or past experience with Temple OS :)

Programming Languages Spectrum:

  • Legacy: BASIC, Pascal, C, FORTRAN, Lisp (quite dusted justa a memory of using them writing fun projects )
  • Modern: C, C++, Pascal, Python, Shell, Lua, Rust (compiled and interpreted ans shells like sh,bash,csh etc.)
  • Specialization: Electronic Systems Design, IT Integration and automation and high-performance solutions, reverse engineering and clean room design, Product Design and Fabrication

Last workplace

On my last contract i was responsible for Inception, Implementation and Administration of the Linux solution hosted on HP Blade Servers in the 2 Datacenters, in the last part of it,my task was to prepare and execute migration of all on-premise Linux machines. ( more than 2000 phisical servers to virtual environment, and then to cloud. It was a nice and frendly work environment, some time with challanging tasks, a work place that felt like a familly. )
